Serida Fitness is an independent, family-run business based in Hawkhurst, Kent. Originally from South Africa, our family relocated to the UK in 2009 and have since built Serida with a deep passion for health, community, and connection.
We’re more than just a gym — we’re a growing community focused on helping you build strength, confidence, and sustainable wellbeing.
We’ve created a welcoming, down-to-earth space where people of all backgrounds and fitness levels feel supported, motivated, and part of something meaningful.
Through expert personal training, energising group classes, and our fully equipped gym, our goal is to help you live stronger, healthier, and happier — in a way that works for you.

Frequently asked questions
We believe that regular exercise is part of a healthy lifestyle for your physical and mental health; we encourage everyone to move their body!
Our crew is very approachable and friendly and so are our members, so no need to feel nervous before entering our gym for the first time! Everyone starts somewhere!
Please consult with your doctor before taking part in exercise if you are pregnant or are being treated for any health issues, such as back or joint pain, obesity or diabetes.
Before you attend a gym session, class or personal training session, you will answer a quick health questionnaire. This ensures that you can safely participate in class.
Our PTs and class instructors will offer guidance and exercise modifications / advances. Your confidence will increase with every class/session, and you will soon feel like you have been with us forever!
Wear comfortable, breathable and flexible clothes; something that you feel comfortable in. For many ladies, a sports bra is recommended for a more comfortable exercise experience; extra support never hurts!
Please wear clean, indoor trainers into our gym and avoid wearing your dog walking/trail running shoes; we like to keep everything as clean as possible.
We encourage individuals to bring their own yoga mats and sweat towel. We do have exercise mats at the gym if you wish to use ours.
Please bring with you a form of hydration in a water-tight bottle/cup. We do have a water station which you are free to use to top up your bottle!
Absolutely! We have a comfortable reception area with seating. Feel free to relax and enjoy a coffee or tea from our coffee machine while you wait.
Yes, we are parking on site!
Please park carefully, sensibly, and courteously to ensure smooth flow for all. Please do NOT park on the concrete slab in front of the barn doors, or in front of the two main doors (on the left and right side of the barn). Parking is available along the hedge or side of the barn closet to the fields. Any questions please just ask us and we can shuffle around!

Claire Boulden Osteopathy
We're excited to welcome Claire Boulden Osteopathy to Serida Fitness! Claire holds a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from the University College of Osteopathy in London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Animal Osteopathy from the Osteopathic Centre for Animals in Oxford. She has experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and developed her clinical skills in diverse settings - including at the Royal Free Hospital, where she worked alongside NHS teams supporting patients with chronic pain. This shaped her ongoing commitment to a compassionate, patient-centred approach. Claire treats people of all ages and believes in a holistic view of health, considering both physical and emotional well-being. Her hands-on treatments are tailored to each individual and may include soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, structural techniques, and, where appropriate, acupuncture or dry needling. Appointments with Claire are now available at Serida Fitness.
RT Wellness
We’re excited to welcome Rachel from RTWellness to Serida Fitness! As a nutritional specialist with expertise in nutrition, gut health, and behavior change, Rachel will be offering 1:1 nutritional consultations at Serida Fitness Gym, Health and Fitness Hub. Whether your goal is to enhance fitness, improve your lifestyle, or develop healthier habits, Rachel will work with you to assess your current eating patterns and create a personalised, sustainable plan tailored to your needs.
Saint Ronan's School
We’re excited to partner with Saint Ronan’s School, a traditional co-educational Nursery, Pre-Prep, and Prep School for children aged 3 to 13, known for its distinguished history and excellent academic record. To help staff and parents prioritise their health and fitness, we’ve partnered with the school to offer exclusive gym discounts for staff and a special membership offer for parents.
Hawkhurst Tennis Club
We are a friendly club with three floodlit hard courts and a clubhouse. There are opportunities for all ages and standards to play at the club with coaching for all ages every week, as well as tournaments, matches and social events, all of which new members are warmly welcomed to. Membership is open to all ages and abilities. Benefits include floodlighting and ‘turn up and play’ club sessions, with balls provided. The club hosts an array of barbeques, social occasions and an annual Members Championship with over 100 years of heritage. Some of our trophies date back to the early 1900s . Members can also take part in inter-club competitions, with teams in both the Ashford and Kent Leagues. We are affiliated to the LTA and members are encouraged to join British Tennis to join in the Wimbledon ballot.
